History by Gil Hoffman:

W. Denny & Co. established its first mill in Moss Point in 1853. In the fall of 1903 W. Denny & Company built a tram road from its O'Leary mill on the Escatawpa River to the mouth of Bayou Casotte. The intention was to extend this line northward to meet the tram road of D. C. Bacon & Company, then being built southward from Brushy, Miss., on the Mobile Jackson & Kansas City Railroad. The survey of the road from Moss Point to Donovan, Miss., on the M. J. & K. C., was completed in early 1907.

The company went into receivership and in June 1909 the 36 mile railroad was sold to the Pascagoula Northern Railroad.
