History by Gil Hoffman: The Jordan River Lumber Company was incorporated in South Dakota in January 1913, with $250,000 capital stock and domicile at Kiln, Hancock County, MS Officer were Edward Hines, president; L. R. Dantzler, vice president; C. F. Wiehe, secretary, and L. N. Dantzler, treasurer. In January 1913, the company purchased the mill of W. W. Carre Company, Ltd., at Kiln, on the Jourdon River. The company had the same ownership as the Edward Hines Yellow Pine Trustees which operated a yellow pine mill at Lumberton.  The original mill burned and was replaced in 1914 with a new mill with a cutting capacity of 150,000 feet per day. In 1922 the Hines railroad equipment at Kiln and Lumberton were consolidated at Barth, MS, the division point on the Mississippi Southern, and lettered “Hines.”  In February 1930, the mill cut out and was dismantled.

	Heisler No. 2 is lettered "J R L Co" and is being used on the tracklaying train.
