History
by Gil Hoffman and Tony Howe:
The
Stover Lumber Company operated a band mill of 50,000 feet daily
cutting capacity at Wilson, on the Blodgett branch of the Gulf, Mobile &
Northern Railroad. The company also operated a mill in the city of Mobile,
but it appears that no logging railroad was operated in connection to the
Mobile mill.
